I adore spending time in my kitchen. It’s a space where countless memories are created, and everyone gathers as a family. Each morning, I prepare a large breakfast and pack lunches, and while I prep dinner, the kids do their homework here. Mudroom season is at its peak in our home.  This is the time of year that this space has its work cut out for it. Mudrooms are meant to be the spot in your home where you can take off muddy boots before entering the rest of the house. I am so thankful we have such a space! Especially since we live on a farm! I recently got home from the most amazing girls trip to Palm Beach! I went with friends Kate Hammer and Kristy Cadwallader to the luxurious Eau Palm Resort and Spa for a week getaway at the beach! It was the perfect resort to kick back and relax poolside or on the beach.  The hotel amenities were incredible and the views were perfection. We had the best time lounging by the pool, walking the beach, and indulging in champagne and fresh seafood.

Our early 1900’s farmhouse does not have what one could call a proper entry.  When you come in the front door you immediately enter into our living room.  When you enter the back door you step into our mudroom/laundry space.  Most of our friends and family always enter our home through the back door and I wanted to create a proper station of sorts where our guests and our family could drop keys and hang a jacket.
