BUNKROOM SCONCES

I adore the look of sconces wired into bunk beds. Sconces on each bunk bed provide a soft glow and are functional and aesthetically pleasing. They add that extra wow factor to an already unique space! I like to install wall sconces above the bed to provide the perfect functional lighting for little ones. So today, I am sharing some of my favorite sconces for bunkbeds and answering all the questions about bunk lighting.

Bunkroom Sconces

What height should I hang my bunk bed sconces?

I like to hang bunkbed sconces 10-12” above the top of the bed but never more than 30″. This helps make it visually appealing but practical! If your sconce has a lampshade, I prefer metal and paper shades over glass for safety reasons.

Do wall sconces put off enough light?

Wall sconces are typically considered secondary light. They do not put off enough light for an entire room and are more often used for reading in bed. It is important to have overhead lighting or lamps in the room for adequate lighting. Also consider the shade of your sconce, as this will also affect the amount or type of light put out into your space.
