Summers spent in Northern Michigan have always been a special time for my family. For six weeks every year, we pack up and head to Lake Michigan to enjoy the beautiful scenery, outdoor activities, and quality family time. Our days are filled with sunshine, laughter, and the tradition of coming together as a family during summer passed down through generations.
Our family’s connection to Lake Michigan runs deep. My grandfather’s experience with polio as a young boy led to a life-changing recommendation from his doctor – to seek the healing benefits of the cool air and lake waters. As a result, our extended family has been coming to Lake Michigan for generations. What was once a response to a medical condition has become a source of joy, rejuvenation, and connection for our entire family.
Our day-to-day at the lake
My mom, brother, sister, and their families also spend time with us on Lake Michigan. It’s a special opportunity to create memories and watch our children enjoy the summer together. I love to start my mornings there with an early morning walk along the lake. It’s the best way to start the day followed by a cup of coffee on our front porch which overlooks the lake.
The kids have planned activities in the morning, including blueberry picking, dune buggy rides, scavenger hunts, and much more. This gives the parents a free morning to go for walks or get in a little tennis. Every Thursday afternoon there are frog, toad, and turtle races. So Thursday mornings you will often see parents taking their kids turtle hunting so they can join the race that afternoon. The kids love this tradition! As soon as the race is over they head out and release their catch!
While we were there, we spent a lot of time at the beach. My favorite time to go is in the afternoon and stay until early dinner time. It’s the most magical time at the beach, with that golden hour glow. Some nights, we pack a picnic dinner and enjoy slow evenings at the beach. We also spend a lot of time at the tennis courts. The kids take lessons and love spending time at the courts with their friends. After tennis they often head to the “coffee shop” and get a blue moon ice cream cone.
Friendships
Over the years, we have formed deep and lasting friendships with other families who also return to Lake Michigan each summer. The sense of community and shared experiences has enriched our lives in ways we never could have imagined. Now that we’re back home on the farm, we are already anticipating the next summer in Michigan. The memories we’ve created, the traditions we’ve upheld, and the natural beauty we’ve immersed ourselves in make it a place that will forever hold a special spot in our hearts.
We keep all our beach essentials stored at the house there. You can find all of my must-haves in this beach essentials blog post.
When it comes to building a versatile and functional wardrobe, having the right essentials can make all the difference. Whether you’re a minimalist at heart or someone who loves to experiment with different styles, having these five wardrobe essentials in your closet can help you create endless outfit options that are both timeless and chic.
A classic white t-shirt is a must-have wardrobe essential. It’s incredibly versatile and can be dressed up or down for any occasion. Whether you pair it with jeans for a casual look or tuck it into a skirt for a more polished ensemble, a well-fitting white t-shirt is a staple that will never go out of style. This Conrad t-shirt is my current favorite that I’ve been reaching for lately.
No wardrobe is complete without a little black or white dress. Whether it’s a tailored sheath dress or a flowy wrap dress, having a go-to LBD/LWD in your closet ensures that you’re always prepared for last-minute dinner parties, cocktail events, or even a formal work function. The key is to choose a style that flatters your figure and can be accessorized to suit any occasion.
A button-down is a versatile piece that can effortlessly elevate any outfit. Whether you’re dressing it up for work or simply want to add a touch of sophistication to a casual look, a classic button-down is a go-to option. You can pair it with a skirt, with tailored trousers, or even wear it with jeans or shorts for a stylish, yet relaxed vibe. I love this one from Sezane that comes in a variety of colors and prints.
A pair of jeans in your preferred style is a wardrobe essential that can take you from day to night with ease. I lean toward a fit that is flattering and classic. And the right cut that can work for almost any top and shoe. Investing in a high-quality pair will ensure that you have an essential piece for countless outfits.
5. Versatile Shoes:
A pair of versatile shoes is the finishing touch to any outfit. Whether it’s a classic pair of black heels, comfortable white sneakers, or your favorite loafer, having a go-to pair of shoes can tie your entire look together. Opt for styles that can transition seamlessly from day to night and from casual to formal occasions.
Bonus:
An everything bag is key to any wardrobe. A tote bag to carry everything you’ll need in a day should fit the bill. My best advice is to find one with long enough handles to comfortably sit on your shoulders.
These five wardrobe essentials are the building blocks of a timeless and functional wardrobe. By investing in high-quality pieces that fit well and can be mixed and matched, you can create endless outfit options while always looking put-together and chic. You can read more about my favorite classic wardrobe pieces here and my favorites from Sezane here.

Creating a welcoming and comfortable guest room is essential for ensuring that visitors feel at home during their stay. Whether it’s for family, friends, or other guests, a well-prepared guest room can make a significant difference in their overall experience. To achieve this, I like to have a few key guest room essentials on hand to provide convenience, comfort, and a touch of hospitality.
Guest Room Essentials
The Bed
The focal point of any guest room is, of course, the bed. Providing a comfortable mattress and quality bedding is crucial. I love this Signature Duvet System to make it easy to swap out inserts. Freshly laundered sheets, a variety of pillows, and extra blankets like this waffle weave blanket and this one from Chappywrap, will ensure that guests can adjust their sleeping arrangements to their preferences. Consider adding a small bench for convenience.
Toiletries and Towels
Stocking the guest bathroom with essential toiletries such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion is a thoughtful touch. Additionally, providing a set of soft, clean towels- bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths- will make guests feel well taken care of.
Storage and Luggage Space
Clear out a dresser or closet space where guests can unpack and store their belongings. Provide empty hangers, a luggage rack, and possibly a small empty drawer provides ample space for guests to keep their clothing and personal items organized. If this isn’t possible, having a wall rack or the back of the door would work. Or, you can use a garment rack in the corner for guests to hand up their clothing.
If there’s space, a cozy chair is a nice touch for guests to be able to sit in and relax with a book. It makes the space feel more homey and welcoming. To me it says, relax and stay awhile. Plus, it’s nice if there’s more than one person staying in the guest room.
Extra Touches
Consider adding a bedside table with a clock and a few reading materials, such as magazines or books. A small tray with a water carafe and glasses can be a lovely gesture. Wi-Fi information can also be helpful for guests so that they don’t have to ask for it. Similarly, if there are any additional security codes they need for the front door, this would be great to include along with a spare key. This way they can come and go as they please. Providing some of their favorite snacks is also a nice touch in case they’re hungry after a day of traveling. An extra phone charger is a great idea in case they have forgotten theirs. A small trash can is something that is often overlooked and can easily be tucked away. A small, handheld steamer is helpful to get rid of those suitcase wrinkles.
By providing these guest room essentials, you can ensure that your visitors feel comfortable and valued during their stay. It’s the little things that can make a big difference and leave a lasting impression of hospitality.

When I start a new home design project, I like to revisit previous projects to remind myself about the end result. The joy on the faces of my clients when they see the final reveal is one of my favorite moments of a project. It gives me new inspiration for future clients and pushes me to try new things because I want every project to have its own unique design. I had so much fun with this blue and white breakfast nook from a few years ago. It is one of my favorite corners of this home renovation!
Like I have often said blue and white is always right… especially in this welcoming breakfast nook. I love layering different shades of blue in various textures; this nook was the perfect opportunity. We started by lightening up the walls with a bright white paint. I really wanted the fabrics to show off and get all the natural light possible in here. Navy rattan chairs, a navy and white striped rug (similar rug here) , a beautiful print from Quadrille Fabrics for the pillows, and perennials heavy-duty fabric on the bench seat achieve that. I chose a polished nickel lantern and I love how it looks against the Roman shades. A perfect morning brunch spot was achieved!
A Blue and White Breakfast Nook
It’s All in the Details
I find that while the big design choices are fundamental to any project, the little details are equally important. I took a lazy Susan the client already had and added a beautiful rattan pitcher to serve as a vase for fresh hydrangeas. For year-round hydrangeas, you can’t beat these faux white stems or these green ones. The light blue pitcher was also a part of the owner’s collection but you could probably find something similar at an antique shop. To bring in a different shade of blue, the blue rim of these glasses does the trick. These rattan-wrapped tumblers match the rattan pitcher nicely and can also be used as small vases. The navy ones would also work nicely. Little snack bowls bring another pattern to the mix and brighten up the white table. Don’t be afraid to mix and match different patterns and prints like I did here. Staying in the same color scheme is what makes this achievable.

It’s officially summer and it’s time to revamp our wardrobes for the warmer season. My summer wardrobe is a carefully curated collection of versatile, high-quality clothing that can be mixed and matched to create a wide range of stylish outfits. It’s all about embracing simplicity, streamlining your closet, and focusing on timeless pieces that reflect your style. When creating a summer wardrobe, starting with a color palette that reflects you is essential. I lean towards light, airy colors such as crisp whites, soft pastels, and muted neutrals. These hues capture the essence of summer and allow for easy coordination and layering.
Key pieces for a summer wardrobe capsule often include breezy sundresses, lightweight blouses, comfortable shorts, and well-fitting jeans. These items form the foundation of your summer looks and can be complemented with versatile outerwear, such as a classic denim jacket or a lightweight sweater for cooler evenings. Investing in high-quality, durable fabrics is crucial when building a summer wardrobe. Look for breathable materials like cotton, linen, and silk to keep you comfortable in the heat while maintaining a polished appearance. Additionally, prioritizing timeless silhouettes over fleeting trends can help ensure that your summer wardrobe remains relevant season after season.
Accessorizing plays a significant role in enhancing the versatility of a summer wardrobe staple capsule. A few accessories, such as a wide-brimmed hat, a woven tote bag, and sandals, can effortlessly elevate and transform your summer fashion outfits. By embracing the concept of a perfect summer wardrobe essentials capsule, you can simplify your daily dressing routine while still expressing your style. With a thoughtfully selected collection of garments and accessories, you’ll find that getting dressed becomes a breeze, allowing you to make the most of the season without compromising style.
Summer Wardrobe Essentials
Denim & Shorts
For denim, you can’t go wrong with straight-leg jeans. They go with just about everything! For the on-trend wide-leg jeans, I would pair them with a classic t-shirt and a sweater over my shoulders for chilly nights. To elevate your classic style, consider pairing denim with a striped tee for an instant classic look—perfect for barbeques, ball games, or boating adventures. Everyone needs a reliable pair of summer denim that effortlessly combines comfort and style for those sunny outings. Whether dressed up or down, classic denim remains a timeless staple in any wardrobe.
Skirts
I love a good skirt and t-shirt! These are my go-to staples from spring to fall, and I appreciate how easy they are to layer. I usually pair them with a simple white tank or t-shirt, and I often tie a sweater around my shoulders or layer it over the t-shirt.
What I particularly love about skirts is their versatility—they can be dressed up or down effortlessly. In the summer, a flowy midi or a classic A-line skirt can create a timeless and elegant look that’s perfect for any occasion. Simply add a pair of chic sandals or classy flats, and you’re ready for brunch or a night out.
To elevate the outfit further, I always recommend pairing it with a woven tote and stylish sunglasses. These accessories add that instant classic vibe, making the whole look feel polished yet relaxed. There’s something so refreshing about embracing this timeless style during the warmer months, embodying simplicity and sophistication all at once.
Tops
For tops, I lean towards classic fits: a crisp white tee, a blue and white striped sleeveless tank, and a classic white button-down. A white tank that can be paired with just about anything or layered under a sweater for those cool evenings.
It’s essential to incorporate classic and timeless staples that work seamlessly with both skirts and denim. A lightweight sweater is perfect for chilly summer evenings, offering a versatile piece that can be layered over shoulders or worn on its own. Having several classic white top staples in my wardrobe is great because they provide a clean, fresh foundation that can be dressed up or down, easily transitioning from casual outings to more polished looks. These items not only complement a variety of bottoms but also lend an air of sophistication to any outfit.
Dresses
I prefer to wear dresses made of loose fabrics on hot summer days. A classic shirtdress or linen sundress is perfect for special occasions, such as graduations and weddings. I love incorporating timeless styles into my wardrobe that can easily mix and match, making travel a breeze. Neutral colors like beige, white, and soft pastels serve as a versatile base, while a splash of color—like a vibrant coral or a deep blue—adds personality and flair. These interchangeable pieces not only keep me cool but also ensure I always look effortlessly put together, no matter the occasion.
Shoes
I keep my summer footwear choices classic and timeless. My everyday staples include a pair of elegant leather sandals and a sleek pair of white canvas sneakers. These versatile options pair effortlessly with any outfit, from casual shorts to flowing maxi dresses. For a bit of flair, I might choose simple espadrilles or classic flats that add a touch of sophistication without sacrificing comfort. Additionally, a pair of minimalist slide sandals works beautifully for laid-back outings while still maintaining a polished look. By focusing on timeless styles and neutral colors, I ensure that my summer shoes can complement any ensemble, making them essential pieces in my wardrobe.
Bags
My summer bags are all about raffia in various shapes, from clutches to totes. I really love how these pieces keep classic lines while adding a laid-back, chic vibe to any outfit. A classic straw tote is an absolute must-have for summer days at the beach or picnics in the park. It’s not just practical; it also adds a timeless touch to my look. On the other hand, a cute clutch is perfect for those evenings out, providing a stylish complement to a summer dress or a casual night out. Each bag, whether it’s the refined silhouette of the tote or the playful charm of the clutch, embodies the essence of summer elegance.
Swimsuits
These classic swimsuits fit all your pool and beach day needs. I’d throw over a cute matching set or one of my favorite pareos or sarongs to complete the look.
You can find all of these and more over on my ShopMy page. You can read about my favorite beach essentials if you’re looking for more summertime must-haves.

I must admit, I have never been great at doing makeup. In fact, back in college, my best friend used to do it for me before we headed out for the night. However, as I have gotten older, I have come to realize the importance of taking good care of my skin. Lately, I have been having a lot of fun experimenting with new beauty products. Since my skin tends to be dry and has some redness (anyone else with fair skin out there?), I have spent a lot of time and money trying out various products to see what works best for me. After many trials and tests, I have finally found what works best for my skin, and I’m excited to share with you some of my go-to daily beauty favorites.
Daily Beauty Favorites
SKIN
As I age, I’ve come to realize the importance of keeping my skin hydrated. I have been using RMS Beauty products as my go-to skincare both in the morning and at night. These products are not only hydrating but also make my skin feel radiant and nourished. I usually apply Ialuset Hyaluronic Acid between the oil and moisturizer to help lock in moisture.
I’m currently loving the Kosas concealer and Jones Road Beauty stick for concealing my under-eye bags and dark circles. To use them, I apply the Kosas concealer under my eyes and blend it with my favorite BB beauty brush. Then, I create a semi-circle line with the Jones Road pencil and blend it with the same brush to brighten the area. The Jones Road pencil is easy to control, and I use this BK beauty brush to blend it.
For bronzer, I have been using the Ilia bronzer for several years now and I absolutely love it. To add a pop of color to my cheekbones, I layer the RMS Beauty Hydra powder blush in shade Bermuda Rose to my cheekbones.
I love to fill in my eyebrows with this Ilia eyebrow pencil. It fills in easily, providing natural-looking brow fullness. I have a scar on my eyebrow, and this fills it in beautifully. I have tried many different mascaras but the one that remains my #1 favorite is the Diorshow. First, I curl my eyelashes and then apply 2 coats for the desired effect. I also use Sweed’s Lash Lift mascara and eyelash growth serum.
To finish off the look, I’ve been leaning towards Dior’s Addict Lip Glow Oil in pink. As someone who grew up in the height of lip gloss, this is similar to a gloss without the stickiness. It’s the perfect touch of color.

While we typically travel to our home in 30A during the offseason, we also try to get down there for a week during the high season. Summer in Florida is hot and humid, but it’s also a great time to enjoy the sunshine, beaches, and outdoor activities. You’ll likely be spending all day at the beach or pool. If you are planning a trip to Florida during the summer months, you’ll want to make sure you pack appropriately to stay cool and comfortable. Here are some tips on what I would pack for Florida in the high season.
What to Pack for 30A in Summer
Clothing
The biggest question of what to pack is clothing. I try to pack lightweight, breezy clothing to keep me cool when out and about in Florida. Dresses are easy to throw on and go while still being chic. I also dress casually during the day so I find myself packing breathable athleisurewear to run to get coffee and breakfast.
Swimwear
You’ll likely be spending the majority of your time at the pool or beach so packing several swimsuits is key, especially since they don’t take up a lot of room in your suitcase. As a mom of four, I tend to lean toward swimsuits that are supportive on top as my kids are still fairly active and want me to play with them in the water. This year I’ve also fallen in love with pareos or sarongs to wrap around my waist. They are so chic! I also use them as a wrap in the evenings when the air conditioning in restaurants gets too chilly.
Sun Protection
This might be one of the most important things you pack during the high season in 30A. The sun in Florida is so strong and you need plenty of sun protection to keep you and your family from getting sunburned. From sunscreen to hats, make sure you pack plenty of options and re-apply often!
Shoes & Accessories
The finishing touch of what to pack are footwear and accessories. I typically pack only a few pairs of shoes when we go down to 30A. All you really need are a pair of sneakers, sandals, and maybe a cute wedge or heel for dinner out. For accessories, I keep the jewelry at a minimum because when it’s hot outside, you don’t want to be wearing a lot of heavy jewelry.

I adore Summer. It is the season of sun-kissed skin, warm breezes, and endless possibilities. Our schedules become a bit looser with the kids’ school and sports schedules being complete and we can enjoy those lazy Summer days. I love everything about the season, especially the fashion. It’s the perfect time to show off your personal style with some light and airy outfits. Be it a bright sundress, a cute pair of sandals, or a pair of sunglasses; you can never go wrong with a classic summer look. J. Crew summer staples are your one-stop shop for an effortless look this season.
My summer wardrobe consists of breezy sundresses, comfy sandals, and sunglasses. I have a soft spot for casually chic fashion and for years J.Crew has been my go-to brand for all things summer fashion. Their summer collection has many timeless pieces that never go out of style. Over the past few years, J. Crew has had a bit of a resurgence in the fashion scene. They release new collections every few months and they are all gorgeous.
J.Crew Summer Staples
For Summer, I love to pair a simple white t-shirt with high-waisted denim shorts or a flowy midi skirt. It’s effortless to style, yet it looks put together. When paired with a rattan clutch or bag, it feels so summery. I am also loving the re-emergence of the shift dress, as it is currently the easiest way for me to feel chic when I am on the go. For chilly nights, I love to throw a classic sweater over my shoulders for an extra layer.
With J.Crew’s vast selection of timeless essentials, creating a chic summer wardrobe has never been easier. Here are some of my current favorite J. Crew summer staples from this classic brand.

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of spending a warm spring day on your patio, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air after a long winter. As with most years, we needed to do a minor patio refresh for Spring. Whether you have a small balcony or a spacious backyard, there are plenty of ways to update your outdoor space and make it feel like a brand-new oasis. Here are some tips to help you refresh your patio for spring. With some simple updates and additions, you can create a welcoming outdoor space that’s perfect for relaxing, entertaining, and soaking up the sun.
Patio Refresh for Spring
Clean
The first step to a patio refresh for Spring is to clean it up. Sweep away debris, wipe down the patio furniture, and power wash the space, if needed. Winter always does a hard number on our patios so during those early warm days, we clean all outdoor spaces as it can take some time. If there are any extra items on the patio you’ve been storing there, it’s time to find a new home for them. Somehow a bike or soccer ball always seems to be living on our patio. I always love this stage. Once things are cleaned off, it’s a clean slate to make your patio as welcoming and cozy as you want it to be.
Add any new furniture pieces
Our patio furniture plays a big role in the overall look and feel of your space. If you have any broken patio furniture or those lumpy cushions that need replaced, now is the time to do it. Retailers seem to release new patio furniture earlier and earlier these days so keep your eye out on any upcoming sales. I like to create a mood board or save images of furniture I see online so that I have an idea of what I am looking for. There are so many options and styles out there that it’s good to have an idea of what you want ahead of time.
If your furniture is still in good condition, you can simply add new cushions or pillows to give it a new look. Our furniture on our side patio was still in good condition so I added this striped pillow cover and this block print one
Bring in greenery and flowers
Adding plants and flowers to your space is an easy way to add new life to your patio. Consider adding some potted plants or hanging baskets to add color and texture to your patio. Choose plants that are easy to care for, such as succulents or herbs, or opt for more colorful options like petunias or geraniums. I planted a small hydrangea in this new scallop pot to bring a pop of color to balance out the neutral pillows.
Add lighting
Whether you love string lights, lanterns, or candles, having the right lighting ensures you can enjoy your patio after the sun goes down. It adds a touch of ambiance to your space. Once the kids are in bed, Adam and I love to sit on the patio off our bedroom in the evenings to catch up on each other’s day. I found these rechargeable table lamps on Amazon last year and they are perfect for an end table. You can also install outdoor sconces to illuminate the space.
Add the accessories
Whether it’s adding an outdoor rug, planters, or new throw pillows, those little touches are what make the space. I love this watering can for keeping the plants on the patio thriving. The sage color is so pretty!
With these simple tips, you can easily refresh your patio for spring. Whether you spend your mornings with a cup of coffee or wind down in the evenings with a glass of wine, you’ll love spending more time on your patio.

Spring is here and it’s time to refresh your wardrobe, beauty routine, and home decor. I have found so many great options on Amazon lately. I always like to share my favorites as the retailer is so vast that it can be easy to miss so many great options. Here are my Amazon Spring favorites.
Spring Amazon Favorites
Clothing
From pretty dresses to sun hats to protect your face from the sun, I have found so many great options for spring and summer. I had to include a few sweaters in here because you never know what you’ll get with Spring weather in the Midwest!
Accessories & Outerwear
Beauty & Health
I have been relying on undereye masks a lot lately. They’re so great to just pop on while you’re getting ready or when I’m answering emails. They are a must-have for photoshoot days! I’m also loving this foldable light up mirror. It’s great for if you need to do your makeup on the go and it will definitely be a travel essential going forward.
Home Decor
Some of my Spring Amazon favorites for home decor are all about pretty ways to contain and hide things. From the storage boxes to the scallop trinket tray to the shelves, I’m trying to utilize more storage options. I also love the small details of the drawer pulls if you’re looking for a small-scale refresh.
Kitchen
I am leaning all into the spring colors for the kitchen. From pretty blue wine glasses and napkins to multicolored stemless glasses. I cannot believe that the floral plates are disposable! They are such a pretty way to brighten up your tableware for your next event or social gathering.
Furniture & Rugs
I think that Amazon is a great source for furniture and rugs. I often find great rattan and wicker pieces on the site and a lot of jute rug options. They’re also my go-to source for pillow inserts for beds and couches. My favorite spring find below is the hyacinth chair. I love the shape of it and the material. It would look wonderful in a sunroom or on a covered porch!

Easter always seems to come at just the right time. When we’ve had enough of those winter months, spring is ushered in by the Easter holiday. The weather is starting to turn, the trees start to bloom, and those happy shoots of green start to make their appearance. I’ve pulled together an Easter edit that includes all of my favorite items to help celebrate the holiday. There is everything from spring-like home decor, linens, tabletop decor, Easter basket items, and what to wear on Easter Sunday. While some of my Easter roundup items are egg and bunny-themed, many of the finds can be used all throughout Spring and the entire year. I hope you find something that brings a little spring to your step this season!
Tabletop & Decor
I found so many great options for my home decor tabletop Easter roundup items! There are so many so many cute plates, placemats, glasses and vases out there right now. I couldn’t help but add some of my favorite pink and blue table linens because they are just so beautiful! It was very hard to narrow it down so I decided to include them all! I already own several of the Cailini Coastal vases and cachepots and they are perfect year-round.
Easter Blues
Easter Pinks
Kids Baskets
For my kids’ Easter baskets, I like to put in a new swimsuit, pair of sandals, and some sweets. You can’t have an Easter basket without a little candy! Depending on when the holiday lands in the year, the swimsuits and sandals are perfect for our annual spring break trip to Florida. If Easter falls later, it’s still a fun reminder that summer fun is on its way!
Swim
Sandals
What to Wear
One of my favorite memories from childhood is getting a new dress for Easter Sunday. It seemed like such an important moment and I was always excited to put on my new dress and shoes. Whether or not you still buy yourself a new Easter dress or are more casual for the holiday, I still like to lean into those spring-like colors. Easter bonnet not required!
For more of my favorite Easter edit and spring finds, head over to my LTK page. If you’re looking for more ideas for those all important baskets, check out my Easter Basket roundup post as well!

Seventeen years ago, I could not have pictured myself in the countryside, much less on a farm. Yet, this charming farmhouse that my husband grew up in had completely stolen my heart! Fast forward to now, a renovation or two, and four kids later, our love for this home has only deepened. We were over the moon when The Cottage Journal asked if they could share our home in their spring issue! This milestone moment felt like a heartwarming affirmation of the countless hours that we have poured into this home. I am so excited to share a sneak peek of our feature in The Cottage Journal.
This home has stood resiliently through generations of my husband’s family, and knowing that it is poised to inspire others, fills us with an immense sense of pride and accomplishment. Our journey has been a labor of love- a testament to our commitment to honor the past while nurturing the beauty of our home.
Each space has been beautifully captured by the incredibly talented Erin Brown, whom I am so fortunate to work with every week. Erin possesses a remarkable photographic eye and masterfully captures the beauty of spaces with her camera. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Bethany Adams for writing the story, vividly illustrating the love and care we have infused into every corner of this home.
We are thrilled to share our feature in The Cottage Journal with you and I am so excited that Erin was able to photograph our home for the magazine. You can grab a copy on newsstands now to read the full story!
It is always surreal to see our farmhouse showcased in these magazines. For even more inspiration, you can read about our home when it was featured in HGTV magazine’s Fall of 2022 here.
