Setting Your Dinner Table for the Holidays

It’s crazy to think that the Holidays are just around the corner! But I’m really looking forward to having family over for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. After these last couple of years, I’ve learned that it’s so important to appreciate the time you get to spend with loved ones. So, as I prepare for the holidays, I’m getting ready to host my own holiday dinners for the people in my life by gathering decor, linens, and my favorite dinnerware and utensils to set the table.

To help get you started with your prepping, this blue Jasmine tablecloth is a beautiful hand-blocked Indian design that works for both holidays. And make sure to add some of your favorite decor to dress up your table. One of my favorites is this island wrapped hurricane which I love using as a vase to hold fresh flowers or greens clipped from my yard.

Finding good, tapered candles can help make your dining room warm and inviting. These hand-dipped candles are dripless and long lasting, and these sage green rustic candles are perfect for setting a calm and cozy mood in the dining room.

Next, place your mats and eating utensils on the table. I love using neutral-colored placemats because they go with just about everything. This handwoven Catalonia placemat is the perfect piece to add beautiful texture to your table. Top them with these bamboo dinner plates paired with this set of bold brass flatware or this bamboo flatware set.

These embroidered floral block print napkins are great for using on special occasions or use these Salento linen napkins to give your dinner table a crisp and clean feel. Set a beautiful champagne glass, like this optical gold vietri champagne glass, next to your flatware to finalize your dinner table setup. This set of 4 everyday wine glasses is a great option if you’re needing to stock up for a big get-together.

Lastly, add your dinner essentials when everyone’s ready to gather at the table. Use these wicker salt and pepper shakers to add a little extra flavor to both your dishes and decor. And chill your favorite glass of wine or champagne in this gorgeous ginger jar champagne bucket.

Bring in the bar cart as you entertain your dinner guests, and enjoy those moments you get to spend connecting with the people you care about. Take this holiday season as slowly as you can because it’ll pass by you just as fast as it arrived.
