Our master bath has been in need of a little love. Nothing major but a good refresh to give new life to a space that had begun to show some age. Believe it or not, our home does get a little neglected at times. Busy schedules, kiddos, and long work days definitely keep me from working on my own home. It was time for a change and I was able to do this by simply pulling in some new decor items.
I am so excited that I was able to partner with Brooke and Lou to help freshen up this space! Created by Interior Designer Bria Hammel, Brooke and Lou has a collection of timeless and classic pieces that would work in any home and with any style. Not to mention they also have beautiful Holiday Decor collection right now! (I purchased these gorgeous emerald green ornaments for our tree last year). If you haven’t checked out their site already, I highly suggest you do but be prepared to stay awhile!
A mood board created for our bathroom refresh
I created a mood board for the space when I started planning. I wanted the bathroom to feel bright and fresh so I painted the walls Sherwin Williams Pure White and added in two new mirrors. I knew that I needed something next to the bathtub to hold towels, bath salts, and apothecary. I fell in love with this bar cart and felt that it was not only functional but could be beautifully styled. I instantly imagined a piece of art from Brooke and Lou hanging above. I have been eyeing the Border Stripe Art in camel and I am always loving tans and neutrals and this piece grabbed my attention for that reason (also stripes…).
I always have a candle burning and the hobnail glass candle ambergris smells heavenly and is in a gorgeous shade of blue. I layered the candle, a vase, and my favorite perfume on a marble tray to give it a space of it’s own. The Gold Leaf Statue from Brooke and Lou is one of my favorite pieces. It is such a stunning sculpture of gold leaf and marble and would also look beautiful styled on any coffee table or bookshelf. It was the perfect finishing touch!
These were simple updates that I was able to accomplish in one weekend and I love the fresh, collected feel of this space!
Thank you Brooke and Lou for partnering on this post.

Happy Friday friends! Can you believe the weekend is already here! November is going so fast already!
Once again rounding up my five favorites from the past week! Earlier this week I returned home from a girl’s weekend to Nashville. I went with my mother, sister, cousins, aunts, and sister in law to celebrate my sister’s birthday! We had such a great time and found inspiration in so many places. I especially loved Amelia’s Flower Truck as I have always dreamed of a flower truck in our town square.
Favorite new sweater right here, loving all the pom poms right now
We have had this candle burning in our kitchen for the last week and I think it it truly one of the best holiday candles ever.
I am in love with everything Pure Salt Interiors creates, this looks like the perfect master bath situation
I hope your weekend is filled with relaxation before all of the Holiday busy begins! Put your feet up, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the ones you love!

Bunkroom sconces can elevate the overall ambiance of a shared sleeping space, making it both cozy and stylish. I love the look of sconces installed on bunk beds. Having sconces on each bunk adds a soft glow that is both functional and visually appealing, enhancing the uniqueness of the space. Ideal for reading or nighttime routines, these fixtures not only provide ample lighting but also contribute to the decor. Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite sconces for bunk beds and answering common questions about bunk bed lighting, helping you create the perfect atmosphere in your bunkroom.
Bunkroom Sconces
Bunkroom sconces serve as both functional and stylish lighting solutions for shared sleeping spaces. These wall-mounted lights are perfect for illuminating the cozy nooks of bunk beds, where traditional nightstands might be out of reach. With various designs available, homeowners can choose sconces that not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the room but also cater to the practical needs of children, providing them with a dedicated reading light. Strategically placing sconces above each bunk creates a warm, inviting atmosphere while ensuring that everyone has the perfect amount of light for bedtime stories or late-night reading sessions.
What height should I hang my bunk bed sconces?
I like to hang bunkbed sconces 10-12” above the top of the bed but never more than 30″. This helps make it visually appealing but practical! If your sconce has a lampshade, I prefer metal and paper shades over glass for safety reasons.
Do wall sconces put off enough light?
Wall sconces are typically considered secondary light. They do not put off enough light for an entire room and are more often used for reading in bed. It is important to have overhead lighting or lamps in the room for adequate lighting. Also consider the shade of your sconce, as this will also affect the amount or type of light put out into your space.
Do bunkroom sconces need individual light switches?
It would be rare for each sconce to have its own on/off switch. However, in new construction or serious remodeling, your electrician can install a switch near the light for you.
Do bunkroom sconces have to be hardwired?
There are so many battery-operated options now, so if you’re not remodeling and you want to add a sconce to an existing bunkbed, you can try one of these new options.

Several years ago we built this beautiful greenhouse on our family farm. My husband I were more than ready and excited to grow our own organic produce! Our greenhouse garden has exploded in abundance due to the organic compost that is made right here on our farm. It has fast become a favorite spot for family gatherings and many Sunday afternoons are spent out here soaking up all that it has to offer.
We love kicking off the Holiday Season with cocktails and a beautiful sunset view in the greenhouse on Thanksgiving. Before our family gathers at the dinner table we enjoy wine and cheese and each others company. The beautiful backdrop of the greenhouse provides a welcoming and happy environment which truly feels magical. We are so very thankful for this amazing setting where we can entertain family and friends and grow healthy produce year round.

As mentioned in the previous post this past June I wrapped up what was my biggest install this far! This was not only a fun project but one that allowed me to work with other great talents in a team effort! Since there are so many great spaces in this home to share we decided to break this reveal up into parts! Welcome to Part II!
Kitchen
This amazing blue and white marble backsplash was our starting point in this kitchen. The bold yet classic design that provided just the right amount of a pop of color gave this classic white kitchen a vibrant punch! The extra large island provides ample opportunity and space for entertaining beach friends! Custom cabinetry, rattan chairs, and timeless polished nickel lantern style pendants keep this kitchen beautiful, classic, and inviting.
Off of the kitchen is a custom banquette and wet bar. An accordion window creates a pass through to the dining area of the deck, making serving easy and perfect for little ones with sandy feet and hungry tummies.
Dining and Living Room
This dining space is open to the both the kitchen and living room and providing an ideal space for entertaining. The navy slipcovered chairs, the beaded chandelier, and the reclaimed oak table keep this space casual yet elegant. The real showstopper in this space is the herringbone ceiling created by Heritage Design Workshop. Platinum Builders knocked it out of the park with their execution of the ceiling.
The living room was created as a means for a cozy gathering space for family friends. Ample seating was created with the addition of custom upholstered window seats. The herringbone pattern from the dining ceiling is repeated on the white brick fireplace and a commissioned art piece was created by Carolyn Joe Art.
Here accordian glass doors open completely up to the back deck creating more liveable space perfect for summer nights and entertaining.
Playroom
This playroom, is separated from the living room by beautiful glass pocket doors that gives the kids a space of their own. The transom above the doors was the perfect finishing touch allowing light to filter through. The lush wool rug creates a soft space for little ones to play on the floor with their dolls and the slipcovered sofa keeps clean up simple.
Early June I wrapped up what was my biggest install this far! This was not only a fun project but one that allowed me to work with other great talents in a team effort! Since there are so many great spaces in this home to share we decided to break this reveal up into parts! Let’s get started with the Entry, Mudroom, and Laundry Room!

Entry
As you enter through the front door, you step into a beautiful bright entry. A beautiful grasscloth table adorned with flowers is the perfect drop zone for phones and keys. The stairway has it’s own special moment leading your eye up toward gorgeous ceiling details created by Eric Easterling of Heritage Design Workshop. It was the perfect opportunity to create a ceiling detail that was both eye catching and lent a cottage feel.
We added in a beautiful, classic light fixture and a custom large wall mural that was printed on sisal. It really gives all the feels and one of the most beautiful moments in the house. (art by https://www.carolynjoe.com/shop )
Laundry
Just off each side of the entry are two pale blue dutch doors. One leading to the laundry room which is wrapped in a blue and white block print wallpaper. The custom cabinetry painted in a deep navy blue is adorned with brass pulls. A vintage farm sink was reglazed and brought back to life giving this room the perfect mix of old and new. What a happy space to do one of life’s biggest chores!
Mudroom
To the other side of the entry is the mudroom with enough cubby storage for all the beach towels, beach toys, and sunscreen. A white penny tile with a detailed gray border and lettering personalizes the space. Dutch doors were created by Platinum Development Builders out of regular doors allowing the family dog to have a space of her own when company visits.
I am excited to show you more! Part 2 coming soon!
